Surveys are key elements of our services which are undertaken for purchasers, Landlords and vendors. The purpose of a survey would be to establish the general condition of the building services installations, together with the quality of workmanship, materials and compliance with codes of practice applicable at the time of installation. The surveys can range from condition assessments through to validation tasks and PPM schedules, along with dilapidations.
At Watkins Payne, surveys are undertaken by our own engineering staff who provide the level of technical competence needed particularly when the time period for collating the survey data is limited.
Reports are tailored to suit the individual brief requirements and can range from high-level overviews, detailed condition surveys with plant longevity analysis, budget cost assessments and dilapidation schedules.
Building Services Engineering
The building services engineer’s role is increasingly fundamental to building design as projects become more sophisticated in terms of sustainability and efficiency, together with legislation changes and user requirements.
As part of our approach to sustainability we employ sustainability engineers who are qualified BREEAM, Home Quality assessors (formally Code for Sustainable Homes) and WELL / FitWel accredited professionals.
