16 New Burlington Place is a landmark office located in the heart of London’s West End. The redevelopment of the 5th and 6th floors for The Crown Estate, project managed by Hart Dixon and designed by Trehearne Architects, is focused on delivering best-in-class workplace standards while achieving high levels of sustainability, occupant wellbeing and energy efficiency.
Watkins Payne provided the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEPH) design services for the floor’s transformation. The project includes the integration of advanced low-energy heating and cooling systems and smart building technologies to elevate both performance and environmental outcomes.
Working with Artus Air, Watkins Payne has helped to integrate compact, high-performance fan coil technology that aligns with the project’s goals for low-carbon, low-noise and low-profile solutions. The fan coil units reduce ceiling service space requirements while enhancing thermal comfort and airflow distribution.
