Project Velocity has been some time in the making, with an initial contract to demolish an existing single building starting in 2014. The site then remained dormant until 2017 when Taurus Developments, in conjunction with JLL, constructed three industrial warehouse buildings, one independent and two linked ranging from 25,000ft2 to 45,000ft2.
Each building has naturally ventilated offices with LTHW providing space heating and hot water, and an 8 person MRL passenger lift serving the first floor office areas.
During both the design and build stages, due regard and associated liaison had to be given to the immediately adjacent main rail line which runs along one side of the site.
The project achieved a BREEAM rating of Excellent and EPC ratings of A for each unit.
