1000 Hillswood Park office development is located in the public park of Homewood park in Chertsey, surrounded by beautiful greenery and wildlife. The three-story office refurbishment is provided with a semi-exposed ceiling solution with services above the rafts. The main entrance welcomes you into a triple height reception with soft seating and a café/reception space. As part of the refurbishment, a new cycle store and pergola for functions have been provided externally to the building.
Sustainability is high on the Clients’ agenda and the design at 1000 Hillswood Park reflects this. Services consist of air source heat pumps to provide comfortable cooling and heating along with heat recovery air handling units to deliver fresh air to the office areas. Photovoltaic panels reduce the dependency on the electrical grid with electric car charging facilities to meet future requirements.
1000 Hillswood Park targets BREEAM ‘Excellent’, EPC target of ‘A’ and a NABERS UK Design Reviewed Target Rating of 5.0 Stars. The up front Embodied Carbon of the development is also being assessed.
All MEP systems within One Hanover Street are being fully replaced, with new services distributed through the upgraded risers to each office floor. The refurbished building will benefit from high-efficiency heat-recovery systems, LED lighting throughout, intelligent lighting controls, a common network system and new fan-coil units among other modern building services upgrades.
The exposed services strategy implemented at Fortess Grove compliments the industrial nature of the building. Cycling facilities are provided along with showers and lockers at ground floor level accessed directly from the rear of the building along Railey Mews. The development achieved a WiredScore certification of ‘Gold’ and a B rated Energy Performance Certification.
Quay Place in Birmingham is situated next to the Utilita Arena which is a sport, exhibition and a concert venue. The works consisted of a new structure to contain the main reception, meeting room, changing facilities and a café for the site.
The office building has achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating with ‘Very Good’ ratings for the retail units.
Watkins Payne was commissioned to design a Cat A fit-out refurbishment across the existing 11,800sq.ft building. The ground floor was completely redeveloped with a new office entrance lobby and 1,300sq.ft new retail space.
The Holiday Inn Hotel in Shepperton has undergone a major refurbishment.
