The three-story office refurbishment is provided with a semi-exposed ceiling solution with services above the rafts. The main entrance welcomes you into a triple height reception with soft seating and a café/reception space. As part of the refurbishment, a new cycle store and pergola for functions have been provided externally to the building.
Sustainability is high on the Clients’ agenda and the design at 1000 Hillswood Park reflects this. Services consist of air source heat pumps to provide comfortable cooling and heating along with heat recovery air handling units to deliver fresh air to the office areas. Photovoltaic panels reduce the dependency on the electrical grid with electric car charging facilities to meet future requirements.
1000 Hillswood Park targets BREEAM ‘Excellent’, EPC target of ‘A’ and a NABERS UK Design Reviewed Target Rating of 5.0 Stars. The up front Embodied Carbon of the development is also being assessed.
234 Bath Road development located in Slough is arranged over ground, first and second floors, with a basement level car park and podium level car park to the rear. The development constructed in 2016 stand at 68,000 ft2 of office accommodation. Part of the ground office floor area was utilised to provide a café to enhance the amenities within the development.

The works involve a full mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEPH) services upgrade to deliver a building that meets contemporary operational and environmental standards.
Watkins Payne was commissioned to design a Cat A fit-out refurbishment across the existing 11,800sq.ft building. The ground floor was completely redeveloped with a new office entrance lobby and 1,300sq.ft new retail space.
Academy House was refurbished to provide 22,100ft² of high quality office accommodation. Watkins Payne supplied building services engineering which saw the 3rd to 6th floor including the ground floor reception of Academy House converted into open plan office areas and reception. This became the London headquarters for Sports Direct.
The building at 10 New Burlington Street has been redeveloped to offer 172,000ft² of high quality office and retail accommodation, for which Watkins Payne supplied building services engineering, vertical transportation engineering and energy consultancy to achieve an EPC B rating. We also supplied BREEAM services and achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating for the development.
Apex Tower located next to New Malden train station is a 15-story office development. At ground level an enlarged prestigious reception area is provided which leads to commuter facility with unisex showers and drying room. The refurbishment works is targeting BREEAM RFO ‘Very Good’ and achieved an Energy Performance Certification rating of ‘B’.
