Watkins Payne carried out the Independent Design Reviewer role for 2 Aldermanbury Square, a redevelopment of the existing City Place House located at 55 Basinghall Street.
A preliminary review was undertaken at Stage 2 allowing the design team to implement the recommendations at Stages 3 and 4. A formal review was conducted at Stage 4 with the design successfully achieving a Design Reviewed Target Rating of 5.0 Stars.

Watkins Payne were commissioned to undertake the design and refurbishment of the 2 retail units, 15 residential units and office space.
Coda Studio, located in Fulham’s Munster Road, contains 57 self-contained office units providing rentable accommodation for various types of small businesses. An 8,600ft² section of the existing car park was reallocated for the development of a gym, lounge and meeting area, for which Watkins Payne supplied building services engineering.
The building Africa House along Kingsway near Holborn Station has been refurbished to offer 119,297ft² of high quality office accommodation, for which Watkins Payne supplied building services engineering, vertical transportation engineering, BREEAM duties and energy consultancy to achieve an EPC C rating.
The project also involved the refurbishment of the reception space and improvement of the cycle store entrance and wayfinding at basement level.
