8 South Crescent, Canning Town is now completed. It is a transformation of the industrial unit with a new and improved facade giving the building a dynamic and unique look.
This detached Industrial logistics unit is being fully refurbished with new ventilation and VRF comfort cooling and space heating systems for the office and reception areas, complete with new LED lighting installations.
The roof has been fitted with solar PV panels. The solar PV panels will provide enough renewable electricity to offset the annual operation of all internal lighting.
The unit is located in South Crescent off Cody Road within Canning Town, approximately 3 miles east of The City, in the London Borough of Newham. The area enjoys easy access to the A13 which in turn provides a swift route to Docklands, The City, A12/A102 (Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach) to the west and the North Circular Road (A406) and M25 to the east.

The mixed use development comprises two office buildings totalling 220,000ft² of high quality office accommodation together with a 289 unit residential scheme consisting of private apartments and affordable housing building.

The building at 202 Hammersmith Road has been refurbished to offer 14,864ft² of high quality office accommodation, for which Watkins Payne supplied building services engineering and energy consultancy to achieve an EPC B rating.

Exposed services has been adopted for the office floor provided new LED linear lighting, ducted fan coil units and power distributed within the office floors.

The Practice was responsible for designing the complete refurbishment of the mechanical, electrical and public health services to all of the guest rooms, together with the penthouse units in The Claridge’s Hotel.
