Portland House
The development at Portland House will comprise circa 300,000ft² of primary office led accommodation together with retail and amenity space.
Watkins Payne Partnership has been part of a development team responsible for enabling works across a 27 acre site at Bumpstead Road, Haverhill, Suffolk to form a number of plots under a contract which started in 2015.
September 2017 saw the completion of the first building on the site, which is a 20,000ft2 warehouse for the end user MKM Building Supplies.
The building is provided with natural ventilation and LTHW heating to the showroom and office areas, plus the toilets which also receive hot water from the same boiler installation.
Lighting is via LED high bay luminaires to the warehouse and recessed modular luminaires to the showroom and offices.
The building achieved a BREEAM rating of Very Good and an EPC rating of A.

1 Blyth Gate, Birmingham is a three-story office development in Solihull. It boasts a triple height reception and the amenity spaces within the business park in which the development sits offer excellent views of the surrounding area. The building has been provided with additional showers and cycling facilities to assist in promoting sustainable travel methods to work and drive down carbon emissions.

Vienna House is an impressive three storey refurbishment that provides 26,000ft² of office space across the development which provides best in class cycle commuter facilities.
The Grade II listed building at 2 New Burlington Street has been redeveloped to offer 5,000ft² of high quality residential accommodation, for which Watkins Payne supplied building services engineering and energy consultancy to achieve an EPC D rating.
Princes Arcade in St James’s is part of the Grade II listed building within which a major new restaurant unit has been created along with office, core and atrium refurbishment.
